About me

Hello, I’m Luiza.

I am a BACP registered therapist and I provide short term counselling and long term therapy to adults over 18 years old.

You can book a free phone call to discuss your initial queries, I’d be happy to hear from you.

My core training and experience include:

  • BACP Approved Diploma in Integrative Counselling
  • Working in various charitable organisations (Off the Record – at present, Chronically Marvellous, Phoenix Counselling) alongside private practice
  • Certificate of Art Psychotherapy Foundations (Advanced) – Jungian archetypes and working with the unconscious
  • Over 20 years in analytical and systemic thinking, originally as part of corporate work, later applied in counselling setting

I am someone who has experienced the need for change in myself. I don’t underestimate that this can be a difficult process at times, involving tuning in to parts of ourselves formerly disowned, which we might feel unprepared to see, and reluctant to accept as being part of who we are. But I believe that the majority of our feelings are adaptive and have something of value to communicate to us.

A Personal Connection to Loneliness, Identity, and Belonging

I’ve experienced loneliness many times in my life. Perhaps it had something to do with how I was brought up, the life choices I made, or maybe it was my ‘too sensitive’ nature. Whatever the reason, it stirred a deep desire in me to understand what it truly means to live in this world as a human being.

My journey towards self-understanding took me across worlds, both internal and external. I’ve experienced the richness and also the challenges that come with leaving home and adapting to new places and cultures. Distance from familiar places and the ones we love can bring deep emotional pain, a restless sense of loss and longing. For me, it also stirred up questions around identity and belonging, meaning, freedom, isolation, relationships, language expression, and many more. These experiences shaped the way I connect with and support others on their own journeys.

Challenges can often lead to unexpected opportunities for growth, both personally and professionally. Through my own life experiences, relationships, education, and clinical practice, as well as my own personal therapeutic journey, I’ve come to the realisation that meaningful human connection is essential to our wellbeing. This understanding continues to grow, and it’s something I’m passionate about sharing with others.
